New Profile Wizard

The AI-assisted New Profile Wizard makes it much easier to create a complete pdfMachine merge profile. Tell the wizard what you need to send and it guides you through your data, PDF template, row grouping and email settings.

Instead of configuring every part of a profile from scratch, you answer a series of straightforward questions. The wizard then builds a profile containing your data source, personalized document template, email body and merge settings, ready to install directly into pdfMachine merge.

What the wizard does

1. Understands your purpose

Describe what you want to produce, such as invoices, certificates, statements or personalized letters.

2. Analyses your data

Upload an example Excel or CSV file, or let the wizard create suitable sample data that you can replace later.

3. Creates your template

Use an existing Word, HTML or PowerPoint template, or have the wizard design a new HTML or Word template. It can use a logo and colours from your website.

4. Chooses how rows become emails

The wizard checks the data and helps decide whether each row creates an email, separate PDFs, a combined PDF or line items in one document.

5. Composes the email

It proposes the recipient field, subject, PDF file name and a professional HTML email body using merge fields from your data.

6. Installs a complete profile

Review the result, preview or edit the template, then install the validated profile directly into pdfMachine merge.

Designed to save setup time

The wizard makes recommendations based on the actual column names and patterns in your sample data. You remain in control: suggested names and email settings can be edited, generated templates can be previewed and refined, and you confirm the final summary before the profile is created.

How to start

Open pdfMachine merge and select New Profile Wizard from the Home screen or the Profiles screen. Once the wizard finishes, select Install profile. You can then open the new profile, select your sending account, test it and run the merge as usual.

Protect your data: use dummy or anonymized sample rows when working through the wizard. Do not upload sensitive or personally identifiable information. The column names and a few representative rows are normally all that is required.
