How it works

  1. Open any PDF in the pdfMachine pro viewer.
  2. Choose Tools | Table of Contents Editor from the menu.
  3. Click 'AI Generate' and pdfMachine sends the document to our server for AI analysis.
  4. The AI identifies headings, chapters and sections within your document.
  5. The proposed Table of Contents is displayed in the pdfMachine TOC editor, where you can rename entries, change levels, reorder or remove items until it's exactly the way you want it.
  6. Click apply and pdfMachine inserts a new TOC page into your PDF, along with a matching PDF bookmark hierarchy for easy navigation.
